Extended ACL to permit GRE traffic..
Hi All,
If you create a Extended ACL as;
ip access-list extended TUNNEL permit ip host 203.208.174.93 host 85.115.65.7
Would this permit GRE traffic – for example?
OR
do I need this to permit GRE;
ip access-list extended TUNNEL permit gre host 203.208.174.93 host 85.115.65.7
Thank you.

NTP
Quick question on NTP
Is it possible to force authentication ? What I am saying is can I force a client to authenticate to my NTP master? In the lab if I set up NTP authentication on one router, I can set another box up without NTP authentication and it will pull the proper time. I guess I could se up an access list of the devices I want to allow to pull my time off my router but was wondering then what’s the point of md5 authentication?
Maybe there is a command I don’t know about to force authentication ?

Sorry for the OT, but does anyone know if Time Warner Telecomm honors as-path prepending or do they strip them off?
Thanks, Bill

CCIE SP LAB – MPLS VPN section scoring mystery
hey guys
i have been scratching my head in disbelief seeing my score in mpls vpn section.
finished the lab clearly 2 hrs before the time, verified everythng thoroughly…mpls VPN was working flawless…exactly asper the questions…end to end pings were successful as per question….didnt break any restrictions…inter-as csc everythng was as per question….then i see a score of 48% in mpls vpn section!
i have seen so many similar reactions from others who flunked the config section just because of mpls vpn section. there are so many who have such similar scores in mpls vpn section that i hv a feeling that we may be missing a bit ot trick somewhere.
what is it tht Cisco is looking for that people are missing?? its kind of impossible tht more than half of section is incorrect…after working for so many years on mpls, scoring pretty well on the mocks for mpls vpn and other sections…finding it the easiest in all for the SP lab, i’m clueless on any improvement.
to add to the mystery, i got 100% in multicast when i cudnt even ping! huhhhhhhhhh.
i missed two OEQs so i didnt go for a re-read but i had a strong feeling to go for the reread just for the mpls section scoring……….is it the case tht cisco takes the configuration scoring too lightly when the candidate fails the OEQ?
i’m desperatly looking for any tips that’ll help me in future ….specifically for the mpls vpn section….any specific verification step..anything.
thanks
