Return to middle terminal server

Hi Expert

If I do not have direct connectivity to terminal server (S2), I need to rely on a staging router before login the terminal server (ie step 1 – Telnet to S1 from Workstation , step 2 – Perform 2nd telnet to S2 from S1). However, I cannot return to S2 by using “Ctrl-shift-6 X” after login into R1 (ie routers behind terminal server). *Whenever I issue “Ctrl-shift-6 X” on R1, it will return to S1 (staging router).*

Is there any quick way to return to S2 (terminal server) from R1 (or R2… R6) ?

what documentation is available during the voice ccie lab?

Dear All,

%subj.

Please, just the facts. It’s known that the necessity of having the documentation is an indication of timing issues and thus shows a possible non-readiness for the lab. The question targets those under the blue moon temporal memory blackouts that happen to humans under stress.

Thanks in advance,

Adel.

Strange behavior in a VRF switch with redistribution

Experts,

I am seeing a strange behavior and it has me purplexed. I have a 6500 that I am running 2 VRF’s on (no mpls) to isolate a guest network. On this same switch I have BGP running to another site and mutual redist between OSPF and BGP. No where on the core am I setting any route tags to any routes, but when I look at the other side of the WAN circuit I am seeing routes come across with the BGP AS# for a route tag.

-D1-WS2#sho ip route 207.16.70.0 Routing entry for 207.16.70.0/24 Known via “ospf 1″, distance 110, metric 17 Tag 65534, type extern 1 Last update from 10.218.80.186 on TenGigabitEthernet1/1, 02:15:42 ago Routing Descriptor Blocks: * 10.218.80.186, from 10.173.0.194, 02:15:42 ago, via TenGigabitEthernet1/1 Route metric is 17, traffic share count is 1 Route tag 65534

And if I look at the site with the VRF installed I see the info below

D1-CS1#sho ip route 207.16.70.0 Routing entry for 207.16.70.0/24 Known via “bgp 65002″, distance 120, metric 27 Tag 65001, type external Redistributing via ospf 1 Advertised by ospf 1 subnets Last update from 1.1.1.1 3d06h ago Routing Descriptor Blocks: * 1.1.1.1, from 1.1.1.1, 3d06h ago Route metric is 27, traffic share count is 1 AS Hops 1 Route tag 65001 MPLS label: none

I can only guess this is happening b/c of the VRF’s on the 6500. On the 6500 I can also see it has a place for the MPLS label (guess it is b/c of the VRF’s also? Can any one confirm this type of behavior?

Thanks Christopher

OT – MPLS FRR

Hello everybody, first of all sorry for this OT mail but need to understand how fast re-route works. Lets say I have two P LSR routers with 2 diferent path between them, one is a directly connected interface (back-to-back) and the other has a Layer 2 switch in the middle. If one interface fails on the other side will FRR detect the indirect failure? and fail over in subsecond time?

Thanks

Santiago E

Netflow and FWSM

Hello GS

We are evaluating LANCOPE net flow analysis started with Cisco 6513 Core Switch. All VLANS SVIs has been configured in the FWSM.

Netflow is not supported in FWSM.

Are there any updates to this or any word around to this limitation?

Thank you in advanced.

Maximum-path ibgp

Hi,

I need to understand the difference between normal maximum-path ibgp and maximum-path ibgp import. Now suppose if a PE is getting a same route from 2 different PE via a ibgp VPNv4 session.

So if maximum-path ibgp is configured in that address-family it will put 2 routes in the VRF routing table. So what difference will it make if i configure import keyword along with this command.

thanks
