ERASE STARTUP & RELOAD – ON GNS3 FAILS
Right click, startup configurations, then delete whatever is in there.
Going on memory here, haven’t used GNS3 in a while

Shaughn,
When you right click on the routers the startup config does not have provision to be set to blank.
Can you further explain your solution? Am interested please.

Please what is the alternative to erasing the entire configuration and taking the routers to default in GNS3.
Thank you.

3750G
Hi experts,
I have a 3750G switch and i am doing ingress traffic policing as it only supports that.
Now i want to police my traffic at 250Mb on a 1Gig link. The problem is that the max burst capacity supported by 3750G is 1MB. now i am little confused.
unlike shaping the buckets are not filled at regular time intervals in policing but are replenished in comparison to when did the last packet came and the Bc(burst) is only the depth of the bucket in which tokens are filled. This is when i am using single bucket logic.
So would i be able to achieve my policing at 250MB even if i put my max burst to 1 MB. Need some help here on the logic.
Thanks Naman

If you select “new project” and leave the “export config” button checked it will save everything for you until the next time you load the .net file. That’s been mentioned here in the archives and on the GNS forums.

You cannot do that in GNS3 due to it being an emulator.
Best way is to right click on the routers in your topology and set the startup config to blank. Then save and start them up again.
