ipv6 fragmentation

Hi Experts,

I have question regarding Ipv6 fragmentation. I know that MTU discovery happens in case of Ipv6 and source can fragment packet accordingly. My question is if source is unable to fragment the packet, is there any way to fragement packet ipv6 in core if encountered with smaller MTU then packet size ?

Thanks, Gaurav

IPIPGW Question

Hi All

I tried to configure IPIPGW (CUBE) for my testing. When phone A (Zone Local A) dial phone B (Zone Remote B), I hear ringback on phone A when phone B pick up the call. After checking, I need to uncheck the box ” Wait for Far End H.245 Terminal Capability” under trunk configuration in CUCM.

I would like to know why I need to uncheck this box for IPIPGW (CUBE). Does IPIPGW does not suppot H.245? Can anyone provide some link for this issue.

Thanks

Best Regards

David

OSPF @ Frame-relay

Hi GS,

Besides labs from vendors out there, anyone would have any material on OSPF @ Frame-relay ?

I need to be able to implement it on any type of scenario on the lab and this is something that I get stuck sometimes.

Best regards,

Sparse mode autorp listener

I am doing a really basic configuration in Narbik’s Multicast unsing autorp listener. I entered the solution verbatim and can’t seem to get it to work.

I have entered the following commands on all routers

ip multicast-routing ip pim autorp listener

ip pim sparse-mode <- on every interface

Then on one route I enter

ip pim send-rp-announce Loopback0 scope 5 ip pim send-rp-discovery Loopback0 scope 5 interval 5

Problem is that I don't see the PIM Group-to-RP Mappings at ANY router other than the one this is configured on.

I do a debug and see *Mar 1 01:15:25.547: Auto-RP(0): Build RP-Discovery packet *Mar 1 01:15:25.547: Auto-RP: Build mapping (224.0.0.0/4, RP:1.1.1.3), PIMv2 v1, *Mar 1 01:15:25.551: Auto-RP(0): Send RP-discovery packet of length 48 on Serial1/0.32 (1 RP entries) *Mar 1 01:15:25.555: Auto-RP(0): Send RP-discovery packet of length 48 on Serial1/0.35 (1 RP entries) *Mar 1 01:15:25.555: Auto-RP(0): Send RP-discovery packet of length 48 on Loopback0(*) (1 RP entries)

So it is sending, but I see nothing at the routers directly attached when debugging. GNS error???

MPPP vs MFR

MPPP vs. MFR. When should I use one vs the other? I can already hear someone saying “pay attention to the requirements of the lab question”, but I am interested to hear from the experts about what clues would lead you to one vs another.

Thanks so much.

What’s Going On At Cisco Live?

Did anyone there get to see the demo of Cius? If so, anybody think this is going to spawn a new CCIE Video or UC track? If Video is the new Voice, like Chambers said, they probably will need to add it to the never ending list of tracks.
