ASA in GNS3 0.7 on Windows 7
Hi,
Can someone please help me,I have installed gns3 0.7 on Windows 7 and everything is working fine except the ASA.
Can someone help me with the step by step guide on this, each time I try to start the ASA device, the error message I get is this “could not communicate with qemuwrapper server localhost. It may have crash.Check the qemuwrapper server output”.
Thanks in advance.

Could it be a permissions issue?
When I did the PIX on Windows Vista with GNS3 – i had to ensure that pemuwrapper.exe was Run as an Administrator along with GNS3 itself.

Need to run 8.02. It will not work with 8.2. You need to get the initrd and kernel for your ASA and patch your qemu. http://blog.gns3.net/2009/12/how-to-emulate-cisco-asa/
The GNS3.07 is release candidate 1 so it still has some bugs. I cannot connect the ASA to the switch and cloud and keep getting error message. This works with no problem with GNS3.06 with PIX.
If you do not like QEMU, use ASA project and run it under vmware workstation. Martin
oluwaseyi,
I think this is a permission issue… Have you solved it allready?
