L2 switch bandwidth command
Hi All ,
What is the use of bandwith command on interfaces in layer 2 switches ? In layer 3 switches we can use it for routing protocols metrics . Why it is available in l2 switches ?
Any comments.

As per my understanding
if I set control for broadcasts to 10%, and I have a 100-Mbps *FE line *connected, I will allow up to 10 Mbps of broadcasts every second before suppressing anything and For 10 Mbps line, 1 Mbps of broadcasts would be allowed before suppressing. I labbed it and tested it and seems to be that It doesnt have any relation with Interface bandwidth command .
Please correct me If I am X
Thanks Shahid

the ‘bandwidth’ command can be used to modify STP port cost.
